Walk With Christ

Enoch “walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him” (Gen 5:21–24). Friend, may your walk with Christ deepen.

And I want to walk with you.
I know that you are holy.
I know that you are true.
I want to talk with you,
staying beside you
is what I’ll do.

Here in the shadowlands-
I know you have a plan
to get me safely through.

But most of the time,
I think I’m doing fine,
And I don’t really rely on you.

Lord, help me understand
that in your great plan
I need to stay by your by side.

‘Cause when I’m leaning close
I feel your love the most
And that’s all I need to get by.

Pain and injustice,
turmoil and strife,
is all this world has to offer.

But you promise hope,
peace, and joy
and a future that prospers.

Lord, help me believe
that which you decree
will surely come to pass.

Walking hand-in-hand,
assured of your love again,
Fear just has to flee.

Because now, I’m assured
The greater one is truly
living in me.
