One Size
There’s no such thing as one size fits all. There is no one size skin for everyone but I must be at peace with my skin. What feels good and right in my skin will not feel good and right in another and that’s why, no matter how much we try to emulate and copy someone else, it never feels quite right. It’s like a scratchy wool Christmas sweater that just wasn’t made for us. When I was younger, my pastor’s wife used to me and say: “you may be small of stature, but that doesn’t diminish who you are. If somebody makes fun of you, you look at them and tell them: ‘I’m a little piece of leather, but I’m well put together. ‘”
God does everything well. Ephesians 2:10 says that we were created in Christ Jesus as His workmanship. The Greek word actually means His poem. He sat down and He created a love poem that embodies who He caused us to be. When He thought of us before the creation of the world, He wrote this love poem and placed it inside of our mother’s womb.
In Jeremiah 1 He says: “I knew you in your mother’s womb.” He placed us there. Psalm 139 tells us that He formed us in our mother”s womb. He put the skin on us, no matter the colour, no matter its length or width, He has made us His poem, so how about trying on your size? The size skin that God put you in.
God’s hand painting.
Us one by one.
